TÙ VÀ
The Tù Và (Horn/Bugle) is a "musical instrument – signal tool" very familiar across many ethnic communities in the mountainous regions (some places use buffalo/cow horns, or craft them from bamboo/wood).
THE SOUND OF TÙ VÀ – The sound of the mountains' presence, of the convergence and boundless connection between the cosmos, the earth, and the highlander people.
THE SOUND OF TÙ VÀ – The sound of collective memory, of cultural memory: the voice of the seasons, of festivals, of people, of customary laws, and of spiritual rituals.
...Amidst the peaks of Lùng Cúng or Tà Xùa, when the thick mist turns everything invisible, the highlanders still find one another through a profound sound: The Sound of Tù Và.
